Rustic Charlotte Home

Rebecca Brannan Designs fostered an ambience of old world character and rugged beauty in this brand new residence.

PROJECT COMPLETION YEAR: 2015
PROJECT LOCATION: CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA

A NEUTRAL COLOR SCHEME UTILIZED ALONGSIDE STUNNING RAW MATERIAL ELEMENTS AND STRATEGIC POPS OF COLOR GIVE THIS BRAND NEW HOME A STRONG SENSE OF OUTDOORSY [AND OTHERWORLDLY] CHARM.

The rugged character and simplicity of the warm living room was inspired by the client’s love for all things rustic and antiqued. The living space features a leather Restoration Hardware sofa, a reclaimed drum table, and contemporary, but earthy, accents on the wall. A large, custom barn door was fashioned for the space. Custom window treatments with a french return rod extend across the entire wall.

The modern kitchen still showcases many rustic accents. Steel, leather, crystals, and wood adorn the dining area.

Reclaimed wood, as well as brick and warm lighting, was used in the lower level pub and game room to create a classic and cool hangout.

An eye-catching assortment of antiques, textured art pieces, and a reclaimed wood accent wall are featured in the lower level living area.

The master suite was designed around the custom bedding and window treatments. Mirrored nightstands and a crystal chandelier contrast nicely with the heavily distressed platform bed.

The style of raw, natural warmth is continued into the guest room. This colorful, red bedding provides contemporary detail and contrasts with the reclaimed wood bed. Guitar art prints, as well as the client’s awards and accomplishments, adorn the wall. This space also doubles as a second home office.

The yellow and grey bedroom was designed to be a teenage retreat. More modern elements were mixed with lots of texture and interesting lighting to give the space a whimsical, but classic, look.

The clients find their inspiration in the music room- so, it was designed to be their retreat. The simple, but homey, space showcases a cowhide rug, vintage chairs, and prints of Mozart’s musical notes on the wall.
